What an adventure we started!

On June 14th I had the fortunate experience to travel to South Dakota with 17 other people to help build an Eco Dome on Pine Ridge Reservation with the help of Nature's Compassion and a beautiful Lakota family that I am fortunate to have in my life. I am a student that is studying Pre Med and Sustainable Living and I got interested in this project because at my school in Fairfield Iowa there are many like minded consiously aware individuals who really are trying there best to make the world a utopia for all to share. I have always wanted to do things for people, I like to give a helping hand. Ever since I was little I have been facinated by different stuctures and how they are built. What could be more interesting then learning about alternitive, self sustaining, off the grid - Eco Domes over the summer. I also heard about the conditions on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and knew that they could use my help. The beauty is abundant everywhere sometimes you just have to wipe the cobwebs away so you can see things more clearly. This experience has been beautiful to see everyone coming together and enjoying the fact that in life everyday we create beauty. Being able to share and experience this beauty together is what life is all about. This winter will be cold but our beloved Lakota family will be able to stay warm and comfortable in a home that they have built themselves. Being able to build your own home you get to put all the love and energy into the very core of the structures existence and you can feel this. It feels like home. With the help of many hands together we can make sure that everyone can feel what a home truely feels like. Much love is here and I am happy to be a part of this adventure.
